Eli Lilly and Co. (LLY) - Get Report is expected to report net income of $1.3 billion, or $1.40 a share, on sales of $5.5 billion before the market opens on Wednesday, based on a FactSet survey of 10 analysts.
In the same period a year ago, the company posted earnings of $1.39 a share on sales of $6.1 billion. It reported a loss of 231.6 million.
The stock has fallen 0.7% since the company last reported earnings on July 30.
Quarterly estimates have fallen less than 1 cent a share in the past month.
In the upcoming quarter, analysts are forecasting net income of $1.4 billion, or $1.48 a share, on sales of $6 billion.
Eli Lilly is currently trading at a price-to-forward-earnings ratio of 17.1 based on the 12-month estimates of 12 analysts surveyed by FactSet.
