United Rentals, Inc. (URI) - Get Report is expected to report adjusted net income of $422.3 million, or $5.56 a share, on sales of $2.5 billion after the market closes Wednesday, based on a FactSet survey of 17 analysts.
In the same period a year ago the company posted earnings of $4.74 a share on sales of $2.1 billion. It reported net income of $270 million.
The stock has fallen 9.7% since the company last reported earnings on July 17.
Quarterly estimates have fallen 8.3 cents a share in the past month.
In the upcoming quarter analysts are forecasting adjusted net income of $402 million, or $5.35 a share, on sales of $2.4 billion.
United Rentals is currently trading at a price-to-forward-earnings ratio of 6 based on the 12-month estimates of 19 analysts surveyed by FactSet.
