The insurance company earned $171.9 million, or 73 cents a share, compared with $151.4 million, or 62 cents a share, in the same period last year. According to

, 16 analysts expected the company to earn 72 cents a share in the latest third quarter.
Revenue rose to $2.03 billion from $1.78 billion a year earlier.
