The company, which makes fuel cells for on-site power generation systems, reported a loss of $22.3 million, or 51 cents a share. In the fourth quarter a year ago, Plug lost $8.5 million, or 23 cents a share. The two analysts queried by

expected the company to lose 48 cents a share.
Plug, which is based in Latham, N.Y., reported contract revenue of $1.5 million, down from $4.3 million in the year-ago period.
