Marriott reported third-quarter diluted EPS of $1.47, vs. $1.70 in the same period a year earlier. The company had offered guidance in the range of $1.47 to $1.51 a share on Aug. 6 at the time of its last earnings report.
Revenue rose to $5,284 from $5,051 a year earlier.
Marriott said it anticipates full year 2019 diluted EPS could total $5.87 to $5.90, down 5 percent from 2018 adjusted diluted EPS of $6.21.
