Hormel Foods Corporation (HRL) - Get Report is expected to report adjusted net income of $195 million, or 36 cents a share, on sales of $2.3 billion before the market opens on Thursday, based on a FactSet survey of 11 analysts.
In the same period a year ago, the company posted earnings of 39 cents a share on sales of $2.4 billion. It reported net income of $237.4 million.
The stock has risen 5.3% since the company last reported earnings on May. 23.
Quarterly estimates have fallen less than 1 cent a share in the past month.
In the upcoming quarter analysts are forecasting adjusted net income of $249 million, or 45 cents a share, on sales of $2.5 billion.
Hormel Foods is currently trading at a price-to-forward-earnings ratio of 23.5 based on the 12-month estimates of 11 analysts surveyed by FactSet.
