The company, a provider of application server software and services, reported income for the latest third quarter of $27.5 million, or 14 cents a diluted share, compared with $34.2 million, or 18 cents a share, for the same period a year ago. The results exclude the amortization of intangible assets and the write-off of in-process research and development.
