3M is currently trading at a price-to-forward-earnings ratio of 18.2 based on the 12-month estimates of 16 analysts surveyed by FactSet.
In the upcoming quarter analysts are forecasting net income of $1.5 billion, or $2.59 a share, on sales of $8.3 billion.
