jumped by 33 cents, or 5.8%, to $6.11 in the premarket session after releasing in the early morning hours the results from a trial of a drug to combat leukemia. The 50-day average daily volume for Geron is 1.7 million, according to the Nasdaq.
was among the most active pre-market trades for the second consecutive morning, jumping by 3 cents -- though less than Monday's pre-market 17 cent run-up. The Tuesday percentage gain was also a smaller 0.6%, to $4.98. The solar company saw a spike in trading beginning on Monday after a Barclays' research recommendation upped JA Solar and some of its peer companies to an overweight. The 50-day average daily volume for JA Solar is 4.7 million, according to the Nasdaq.
was up 63 cents, or close to 7.3%, to $9.30 in the premarket session, after the Chinese animal and plant nutrient company updated its three-year plan, projecting big gains in production capacity and its retail store network. The 50-day average daily volume for Yongye is 628,000, according to the Nasdaq.
was down 6 cents, or 0.6%, to $9.49 in the premarket session, even though HSBC raised the firm's rating to an overweight early on Tuesday morning. The telecom company has been on a downward pricing trend since its 52-week high was reached in early November. The 50-day average daily volume for Ericsson is 7.5 million, according to the Nasdaq.
