Samsung will supply memory components, liquid-crystal displays, monitors and optical drives to Dell for use in its computers. The two companies will also collaborate on research and development for new Dell computers and other products.
The deal represents a continuation of the relationship between Dell, which is based in Round Rock, Texas, and Samsung, which is based in Seoul. Samsung has long supplied Dell with LCD panels.
