Cramer added that he likes Ford's preferred stock because of its "gigantic" dividend.
However, "If you're a shareholder, you'd like to see unions take a much smaller slice of the pie," Cramer said. "A big open question that needs to be addressed is labor."
Meanwhile, Cramer refered to Ford rival

"I'm a Verizon user, so I'll get the Droid," Cramer said. "While there is envy with the iPhone, the Droid is just blowing off the shelves." Verizon, he added, had a "fantastic" quarterly earnings conference call. "The numbers were beautiful."
Cramer also said that
had a great quarter and that
had an "interesting" one. The company raised its guidance, Cramer noted, which partly indicates that the mood, particularly in Europe, has improved.
Tech stocks that Cramer recommended included
, which is "just on fire ... they think that Ireland was very strong for them; France was strong for them."
"I think that VMware had one of the best quarters in this whole earnings period. They are what growth is all about," Cramer said. Furthermore,
