BMET: Biomet Earnings Rise



early this morning said it had first quarter earnings of 27 cents a share, in line with the 16-analyst estimate and up from year-ago earnings of 23 cents a share.

The company, which makes and sells reconstructive devices to stimulate bone growth, attributed its 18% increase in earnings to growth in its product lines.
