Among notable small-cap stocks of companies supplying Apple, two rose while 25 fell.

R.R. Donnelley & Sons shares (RRD) rose 15 cents, or 5.34%, to $2.96.

Glu Mobile shares (GLUU) fell 42 cents, or 4.75%, to $8.43. The company supplies apps and games.

Among mid-cap Apple suppliers, six rose while 15 fell. 

Analog Devices shares (ADI) rose $1.56, or 1.56%, to $101.44. The company supplies parts used for cameras and other applications in iPhones.

NXP Semiconductors shares (NXPI) fell $3.04, or 3.14%, to $93.64. The company supplies components used in iPhones.

Among large-cap companies with significant Apple business, one rose while six fell.

3M shares (MMM) rose $2.44, or 1.46%, to $169.74.

QUALCOMM shares (QCOM) fell $8.44, or 10.86%, to $69.31. The company suffered an adverse legal decision in a dispute with the Federal Trace Commission.

Apple  itself fell $3.82, or 2.05%, to $182.78.

The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 34.88 points, or 0.45%, to 7,750.84.

Twenty-Two Apple suppliers outperformed the Nasdaq, while 41 lagged.

The S&P 500 index fell 8.09 points , or 0.28%, to 2,856.27.
