Amazon.com (AMZN) - Get Report announced today that Prime Now customers can get two-hour home delivery via Alexa, the company's smart speaker.

While the digital assistant powered by the Amazon Echo has always offered voice shopping, delivery options have been limited.

The service will initially extend to "the full Prime Now catalog with Alexa, including tens of thousands of items," Amazon's VP of Voice Shopping Assaf Ronen said.

The roll out will not involve orders of larger items or electronics and other items.
