Two prominent technology analysts at

Credit Suisse First Boston

are leaving the company, a spokeswoman for the investment firm confirmed Monday.

The departures of Michael Kwatinetz, who covers the PC hardware and software sector, and Paul Weinstein, who covers the data networking sector from San Francisco, were announced internally Monday at Credit Suisse First Boston, the spokeswoman, Victoria Harmon, said. She declined to say where Kwatinetz and Weinstein were going. Neither immediately returned a call.

Kwatinetz, who has topped

Institutional Investor's

highly regarded annual survey of Wall Street's top analysts four times in his sector, covers companies including

(MSFT) - Get Report

Compaq Computer

( CPQ) and

Apple Computer

(AAPL) - Get Report

Weinstein placed second in the magazine's survey of the data networking sector last year; he covers

Cisco Systems

(CSCO) - Get Report

( COMS), among others.

Harmon said the duties of both analysts would be absorbed by the firm's current staff and that Credit Suisse First Boston would likely add analysts to its equity research department to help make up for their departures.
