NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Dunkin' Brands (DNKN) - Get Dunkin' Brands Group, Inc. Report  continues to prove that it can bake up much more than just glazed dougnuts.

On Thursday, TheStreet got to sample several soon-to-launch products from Dunkin' Donuts and its sister brand, Baskin Robbins, ranging from bacon-topped donuts to banana-split flavored ice cream. The new dishes reinforce Dunkin's relentless focus on offering highly differentiated products in a competitive fast food industry.

TheStreet pulls the curtain back on what the 65-year-old chain revealed to a packed room deep inside the company's test kitchens at its headquarters in Canton, Mass.

1. An anticipated addition to Dunkin's breakfast lineup, the Sweet Black Pepper Bacon sandwich is set to hit stores in November. The sandwich includes four pieces of bacon slathered in a special mixture of sugar and pepper, along with an egg and cheese, on a croissant.

2. With an emphasis on coffee and blended beverages, the new lineup of Blended Shakes packs flavors such as vanilla and banana into a McDonald's-like milkshake. They are currently being tested in Providence, R.I., and South Florida.

4. Perhaps the highlight of the day was the new Bacon Lovers Sausage Sandwich. A smokey sausage is stuffed with bacon and paired with an egg and cheese, all on a toasted English muffin. Test marketing of the sandwich is set to begin in select markets on Sept. 28.

6. Known as the "Piñata Cake," this frozen treat has a simple premise: Cut it open, find a surprise.

7. Paired with a cold iced tea, the Snack N' Go Chicken Wrap is being marketed as a quick afternoon snack for Dunkin's busy customers. The wrap contains a breaded chicken breast, cheese, bacon and ranch dressing.

8. With an anticipated fall arrival, the Maple Bacon Doughnut just completed internal testing in select markets.  It is currently not available for sale. The doughnut contains a cream filling, topped with bacon and maple frosting.

9. Last fall, Dunkin introduced its take on the hybrid croissant doughnut (not to be confused with the original "cronut" created by New York's Dominique Ansel Bakery). This year, Dunkin's version is being upgraded with a snickerdoodle crumble topping and frosting.
