Kenmore in, Whirlpool Corp.  (WHR) - Get Report out.

Sears Holding Corp.   (SHLD) and Whirlpool part ways after 100 years of wheeling and dealing. Sears will stop selling Whirlpool-brand appliances but will continue selling Whirlpool-made Kenmore.

Sears announced in July a deal to sell its Kenmore appliances on Inc. (AMZN) - Get Report , including a new line of Kenmore Smart appliances featuring Amazon's Alexa. That deal is still intact.

"Sears said that Whirlpool was making demands that would've made it difficult to sell those name-brand appliances at a competitive price," according to the Associated Press.

Whirlpool makes Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air brands and several—not all—Kenmore products, such as dishwashers, washers and dryers and some refrigerators.

The dying retailer says it plans to sell the rest of its Whirlpool inventory until it is all gone.

Apparently there is no love loss for the Benton Harbor, Mich., manufacturer. Whirlpool CEO Marc Bitzer said Tuesday, Oct. 24, on a conference call that Sears only attributes 3% of Whirlpool's global business.

Sears shares are down 31% since the start of the year.
