While the amount of women on boards and in the C-Suite are increasing, it will take time to get to 50%, says Deepa Purushothaman, managing principal in the Social Impact service line of Deloitte Consulting. She is also the national managing director of WIN, Deloitte's Women's Initiative, which is dedicated to building opportunity, enrichment, and new thinking around talent and inclusion in the workforce. And she believes that companies that make a social impact have an edge in recruiting too.
