Is my computer set up to give me the best experience on TheStreet?

How do I login to my premium service(s)?

Log in/Log out is located at the top of every page.

How does auto-login work?

Our site uses a unique identifier to authenticate your login. This identifier is called a "cookie." Once you have logged in TheStreet will automatically assign you a cookie. The cookie file exists primarily so you won't have to re-enter your password each time you access our site.

If you do not have a cookie-enabled browser, or if you reject the cookie, your login attempt will fail and you will be unable to access our site.

Note: If you use a second computer (e.g. home v. office) you will need to log in again on the second computer. This is because TheStreet only sets a cookie on the first computer you use to access our site. You may log in on a second computer, but you will need to re-enter your username and password.

How do I access TheStreet on my mobile device?

Go to m.thestreet.com in the web browser of your mobile device. Our financial news and commentary is specially formatted for your mobile device so you can display articles quickly and keep on top of the markets any time, wherever you are.

What is an RSS feed and how do I set one up?

RSS is a format (called XML) that "feeds" you information. It allows you to automatically receive and organize news stories and videos as they are published from your favorite sites, including TheStreet, all in one place. Click here to find out how to get started.

I am signed up for emails but am not receiving them. Why?

To ensure that your newsletters are not getting blocked by "antispam" software, add @thestreet.com to your list of allowed senders and contacts list - i.e., actionalerts@thestreet.com, stocksunderten@thestreet.com, etc.

If this does not resolve the issue, verify other possible spam filter settings. Spam filters are the most common reason users do not receive their emails.

There are two major levels of spam filtering:

Mailbox level spam filters: To see if this is the cause of your problems, check the settings on your email software (for example: Outlook). Most systems have junk email settings, check to see how they are set up to detect spam.

Internet Service Provider Level spam filters: Some companies and Internet service providers, such as AOL, set up filters at the server level. The rules they make to detect spam may be stopping your email newsletter or alert. Contact your administrator if you think this may be the reason you are not receiving your email.

If your mailbox has been recently suspended because it is over quota, or if your mail provider was experiencing technical problems, please contact Customer Service at members@thestreet.com so we can verify that your account was not inadvertently suspended on our system. If we received bounce backs/errors sending email to your account, our system will suspend email delivery.

Why can't I print articles on your site?

Print icon is located under the article headline. This link will pull the article into the proper format for printing.

Why can't I open the Adobe PDF reports?

If you are having problems loading Adobe Acrobat documents, it may be that you do not have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Software you need.

How do I change my password?

You may view and edit the password we have on file for you as well as view your Premium Services Subscription information. You can access these options by clicking here.

Why is the portfolio not showing?

Our research has shown that applications such as Norton Internet Security or Ad Subtract Pro, when not properly configured to allow content from the www.bigcharts.com domain, can prevent you from seeing some of our pages. You can test this by temporarily disabling any/all these applications. The page(s) should then load properly.

I cannot log in. I receive a "Technical Error" message. What can I do?

Please try the following:
Open Internet Explorer or your web browser of choice and go to http://www.thestreet.com/
Click "Log out" or "Log in" link at the top right corner
Enter your username and password and click Submit
Move your mouse over Premium Services on the right near the top of the page.
Click the title of your subscription service(s)
You should be able to gain access

I receive a "404" error message. What can I do?

Go to TheStreet sitemap, or use the search field to find what you are looking for.

How can I get a Flash Player?

I have a Yahoo account and am not receiving my Action Alerts. Is there a way to turn off blocking for Action Alerts PLUS in Yahoo?

In Yahoo Mail, click Options on the top right, then click Mail Options.
Click Spam on the left.
Under Blocked Senders List, check to ensure that actionalerts@thestreet.com is not being blocked. If it is, highlight it and click Remove. Click Save Changes at the top.
