Without Sam Darnold all Jets Playmakers Get Downgraded In Fantasy Football

New York Jets Quarterback Sam Darnold is out indefinitely due to the mono virus. Trevor Siemian is now taking over under center for Gang Green.

Sam Darnold Has Mono

Second year Quarterback Sam Darnold has been ruled out for Week Two and there's no timetable for his return. The New York Jets passer has been diagnosed with Infectious Mononucleosis AKA mono.

Downgrade All Jets In Fantasy Football

With Darnold out of the lineup for the foreseeable future, the Jets will turn to QB Trevor Siemian as their starting passer. That's not good news for any of the Jets playmakers specifically running back Le'Veon Bell and wide receivers Jamison Crowder and Robby Anderson. Siemian is quite frankly just not as talented as Darnold and Head Coach Adam Gase will have to down-play his play-calling to better fit Siemian's style of play.

The Jets play the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football in Week 2.

I'd still consider playing Crowder this week. Benching Anderson.
