Here are your fantasy football sleepers for week 7:
RB - Frank Gore - MIA vs BUF - We’re looking at some Liam Neeson-level revenge here. An age-defying beast named Gore going against the team that unceremoniously dumped him, which also happens to be one of the worst teams ever in the history of the NFL. Potential for big numbers here, especially when Gore thinks of those sandy beaches he’s missing while shoveling snow up north.
QB - Ryan Tannehill - LAC vs. TEN - The quarterback position these days in the NFL is like when the stars of the ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ were on strike that one season so they hired replacement actors. These replacements are wearing the same outfits, but they’re no John Schneider or Tom Wopat. There’s been a noticeable drop in offense. Tannehill, however, may be one of the better replacements of the bunch. He gets the start after coming in for a struggling Marcus Mariota last week. Tannehill played very well off the bench. If you extrapolated his yardage out over the full game he would have had more than 300 yards. Chargers Defense is weaker than the 2019 stats show, with the team giving up more than 20 points to Mason Rudolph’s Steelers and the Joe Flacco-led Broncos. Tannehill's numbers in Week 7 may be better than those two.
RB - Latavius Murray - NO vs CHI- Kamara is feeling dangerously like Todd Gurley-how-hurt-is-he territory. That means it could be Murray’s time to shine. He had his best game of the year running the ball last week against the Jaguars. He’s not as dynamic as Kamara but has proven he can catch the ball in this high-powered offense. Chicago is a tough matchup but they are actually middle of the pack in terms of points given up to running backs.
