Dalvin Cook is Unstoppable in 2019, Will Keep Getting Better

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is off to an incredible start in 2019. In just seven games this season he's already surpassed his career high in yards and touchdowns. He has five games of over 100 yards, is averaging 103.6 yards per game and score eight times in seven games. If it wasn't for Christian McCaffrey, Cook would be the hands down fantasy MVP at the midway point of the season.

Vikings Maven Will Ragatz joined Jim Cramer and I on our Week 8 episode of Bull Market Fantasy Live to discuss Cook's dominance this season. Now that Kirk Cousins has pumped some life into the Minnesota passing attack (eight touchdowns in two games) the Vikings rushing attack may actually improve going forward. Ragatz points to the fact Defenses now have to respect Cousins along with his wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen instead of solely focusing on stopping the Minnesota ground game.

According to our partners at FantasySp, Cook's next three match-ups are against two teams in the Top 10 for most points allowed to running backs. In Week 8 Cook will run against the Redskins(8th),  Week 9 against the Chiefs (10th) and in Week 10 has a middle of the road match-up vs. the Cowboys (18th).

Cook is currently four points behind Christian McCaffrey for the lead in fantasy points among all running backs in the NON-PPR format. However when going to the PPR format, McCaffrey has more of a commanding lead with 181 points compared to Cook's 166.
