The Patriots steam rolled through their first eight opponents and are one of two teams in the NFL with an undefeated record. But some critics point to the ease of their schedule in the first two months and that the real test is on Sunday Night Football against the 5-2 Ravens.
As Ravens Maven Todd Karpovich points out in the above video, the reigning Super Bowl Champs won six of their last seven games against the Ravens. Through eight weeks of NFL action, New England has a three game lead for home field advantage in the playoffs. The Ravens are on top of the AFC North with a 5-2 record but are competing with the Texans and Chiefs for the number two seed. Making the match-up on Sunday Night Football that much more significant.
But if the Ravens can't knock off New England, who can?
That's what I asked Patriots Maven, Devon Clements, during our Bull Market Fantasy Game of the Week discussion. Clements pointed to less than a handful of teams that pose a real threat to the Tom Brady led squad.
From a Fantasy Football perspective, this game is loaded with plenty of impact players including both quarterbacks Brady and Lamar Jackson, and running backs Mark Ingram, Sony Michel, and James White. Fantasy players even have high expectations for wide receivers Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu, Marquise Brown, and tight end Mark Andrews.
Here at Bull Market Fantasy we love when there's a lot of impact players in a primetime game like on Sunday Night Football.
