Minnesota Vikings Fantasy Football Outlook: Stefon Diggs Stock Down, Irv Smith Jr. Stock Up

Bill Enright

With just six catches in three games, is it time to dump Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs from your fantasy football roster?

Vikings Insider Selling: Time To Dump Stefon Diggs

The Minnesota Vikings are off to a 2-1 start thanks in large part to running back Dalvin Cook who is leading the NFL in rushing with 375 yards. While Cook has produced excellent stats for fantasy football managers, his teammate Stefon Diggs has been incredibly frustrating.

Diggs has just six catches for 101 yards and a touchdown through the first three games of the year. Vikings Maven Will Ragatz explains to Jim Cramer why Diggs has been so disappointing this season.

Vikings Insider Buying: Rookie Tight End Irv Smith Jr.

Unlike Diggs, whose stock is trending down, Vikings rookie tight end Irv Smith Jr. is heading in the right direction. Minnesota selected the Alabama product in the second round with the 50th overall pick in this year's draft. Compared to veteran tight end Kyle Rudolph, Smith Jr. is much more athletic in the open field and should continue to trend upward in the Vikings Offense.

I can't quite move on from Diggs yet. I might bench him, though.

I feel like most fantasy owners are kinda just stuck holding onto him for now.
