NFL Defenses and Fantasy Football Players don't want to face Lamar Jackson
If you drafted Lamar Jackson in your fantasy football league, chances are you are dominating your competition. Just like Jackson's actual team is dominating their opposition.
Having the Ravens quarterback on your fantasy squad is like playing with a cheat code. The Baltimore passer trails only Russell Wilson with 25 passing touchdowns. He's also 10th among all players with 977 rushing yards and 9th with seven rushing scores. He's essentially putting up RB1 stats in addition to the QB1 stats he posts on a weekly basis. It's absolutely incredible.
Sports Illustrated's Robin Lundberg joined Jim Cramer and me on Bull Market Fantasy's show and said he would be "terrified" if his fantasy football opponent had Jackson in his lineup. Lundberg pointed out that even this year's best defenses couldn't contain the dual threat quarterback. In Week 9 when Jackson took on the Patriots he threw for 163 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 61 yards and two scores. Most recently Jackson ripped through a stout 49ers defense to the tune of 105 yards and a TD and rushed for 101 yards and another score.
Jackson will look to extend his MVP caliber season in Week 14 as he takes on a Buffalo Bills defense that is allowing the fourth least amount of points to opposing quarterbacks this season according to our partners at FantasySP. but considering what Jackson did against the 49ers (second least points to opposing passers) and Patriots (least points to opposing QBs), fantasy managers shouldn't fear the match-up for Jackson. If anything, the opposition going against Jackson should be the ones scared of the electrifying playmaker.
Did you win your match-up when playing against Lamar Jackson? If you have Jackson on your team, how many wins did you have this season? Let us know in the comments below.
