Julio Jones: Stud Receiver or Fantasy Football Headache?
The Cold, Hard Truth About Julio Jones
A perennial top three wide receiver off the board in fantasy football drafts, Falcons receiver Julio Jones has incredible talent and the stats to go along with it. He led the league in 2018 with 1,677 yards, his fifth straight season of more than 1,400 yards and was fourth in the NFL with 113 catches. He's off to another incredible start in 2019 with four touchdowns in four games.
As Falcons Maven David Holcomb explains to Jim Cramer, Jones is Atlanta's most important weapon on offense outside of quarterback Matt Ryan. But when it comes to Fantasy Football, Jones leaves a lot to be desired on a week in week out basis. For every monster ten catch, 150 yard and touchdown performance, Jones follows it up with four catches for 52 yards. It's just not consistent enough for what should be a fantasy football team's WR1.
