Week 6 Fantasy Football Sleepers
Some alumni of this sleeper column had nice weeks in week 5, including D.J. Chark, Jordan Howard, Auden Tate and Will Dissly. Finding sleepers gets harder as the year goes on however and sometimes we are early or whiff altogether.
That said. Here are your sleepers for Week 6:
Jordan Howard - RB - PHI vs. MIN - Yes, coach Doug Pederson is a committee guy and yes, the Eagles are facing the tough run defense of the Vikings, but Howard is establishing himself as the go-to redzone guy for the offense with five touchdowns in the last three weeks. While Miles Sanders is the speedster, Howard is the steady power runner. Pederson likes the results and said in his press conference Monday that Howard would get a higher share of the carriers going forward.
Kerryon Johnson - RB - DET vs. GB - People have forgotten about him because of the bye week, but before that he was starting to breakout. He had 157 total yards against Kansas City in week 4. With C.J. Anderson out of the way, Johnson can be the back many hoped he would be. Detroit is still a running town and Johnson is the man now. Green Bay is giving up the third most points in the league to opposing running backs. Plus, with the bye and Monday night game, he’s well rested.
Teddy Bridgewater - QB - NO vs JAX - Bridgewater is coming into his own with stats increasing each week and culminating in a 314-yard, 4-TD game last week. Jacksonville is a tougher matchup but Bridgewater is clicking on all cylinders now in this potent offense. Brees will be back in a few weeks but ride this hot hand for now.
