Week 7 Waiver Wire: Running Backs
There's a lot of stud running backs on bye in Week 7 including Christian McCaffrey, James Conner, and Nick Chubb. That leaves a lot of fantasy managers scrambling to make up for those lost points. And it is certainly a lot of points. McCaffrey is averaging 24.4 points per game, Chubb is averaging 18.3, and Conner is at 12.8 and that's in NON-PPR.
Luckily there's a few quality rushers on the waiver wire that can help fill the void. Will anyone be able to replace McCaffrey? No of course not, he's the Number One running back in fantasy. But the running backs we discuss in the above video with Sports Illustrated's Jim Day are serviceable for Week 7 and hopefully will add value in the coming weeks as well.
For example: Packers running Jamaal Williams had a monster game against the Lions in Week 6. Fantasy managers are already taking notice. Our partners at FantasySP show Williams has a 9% increase in ownership compared to last week. He combined for 136 yards and a touchdown off of 18 combined touches. Williams was dropped by a lot of teams after his nasty neck and concussion in week 4 and is now available in 83% of leagues.
Other running backs to add in Week 7:
1. Jamaal Williams, Green Bay Packers
2. Latavius Murray, New Orleans Saints
3. Benny Snell, Pittsburgh Steelers (on a bye in Week 7)
4. Nyheim Hines, Indianapolis Colts
5. Mark Walton, Miami Dolphins
6. Brandon Bolden, New England Patriots
7. Justice Hill, Baltimore Ravens
