Jalen Ramsey's Return is Bad News for Michael Thomas in Week 6
Jaguars Owner Shahid Khan Says Jalen Ramsey Will Play vs. the Saints
A series of back and hamstring injuries along with personal matters have kept Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey out of action for the last two games, at least that's the story according to the Pro Bowler. However some speculate it's his unhappiness with his current contract and Jacksonville's coaching staff that has kept Ramsey on the sidelines since September 19th.
Jaguars owner Shahid Khan seems to think Ramsey will be on the field this Sunday. Khan told TheStreet and Bull Market Fantasy's Katherine Ross "Well, I think [Jalen Ramsey] is going to be playing this week, and hopefully you'll tune into the [New Orleans] Saints game, but I think that...you gotta balance what's good for the team and what the individual wishes may be...I met with [Ramsey] a couple of days ago, had a heart-to-heart and I think we'll be able to come to whatever makes sense for all,"
That's bad news for New Orleans wide receiver Michael Thomas and anyone with the Saints stud on their fantasy football team.
Ramsey is a fantasy manager's worst nightmare. He has shut down opposing wide receivers week in and week out throughout his career including holding DeAndre Hopkins to five catches for 40 yards , his lowest total of the season, in Week 2.
If Khan's prediction about Ramsey's availability comes to fruition, Thomas will see a lot of shadow coverage and will unlikely come anywhere near his eye-popping 11 catch, 182 yards, two touchdown performance from last week.
You can't bench a guy like Thomas but you can certainly temper expectations if Ramsey is indeed defending him. Stay tuned to see if Khan's prediction about his star defensive back returning is accurate.
