Fantasy Football Players need to worry about Todd Gurley
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff has 117 passing attempts the last two games, no other passer has more than 100. It's one of the reasons Pro Football Hall of Famer and former Rams running back Eric Dickerson says Los Angeles has to start running more.
After winning the NFC in 2018, the Rams find themselves on a two game losing streak thanks to a shocking loss to the Buccaneers and losing effort against NFC West rivals the Seattle Seahawks.
In Week 6, the Rams take on another NFC West foe in the 4-0 49ers, a game Dickerson says the Rams should win.
During Dickerson's discussion with Jim Cramer, the single-season record holder told Jim fantasy football players should be concerned about Gurley's usage because the Rams have "become a passing football team."
Not only are the Rams not featuring Gurley enough according to Dickerson but the 49ers have the best run defense in the NFL. They've yet to give up a rushing touchdown and have allowed the least amount of fantasy points to opposing backs. Browns running back Nick Chubb scored just 9.9 fantasy points against San Francisco in Week 5. The week prior, Chubb scored 36.3 points.
After finishing the 2018 season as a Top 3 running back in fantasy football thanks to 17 rushing touchdowns in just 14 games, Gurley's 2019 season isn't living up to high expectations. The Rams rusher is currently the 15th running back in the NFL with 63 fantasy points.
Are the Rams better off being a passing team or do you agree with Dickerson and think the Rams need to start running more?
