Jerry Jones Calls Jim Cramer ‘Smart’ for Taking Zeke With First Pick
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was at the NYSE Wednesday as a representative of energy producer Comstock, a company in which he owns a 75% stake.
But the big news of the day is that the Cowboys signed star running back Ezekiel Elliott to a 6-year extension that could be worth more than $100 million with incentives. The reported $50 million in guaranteed money is the highest mark for a running back ever, and is $5 million more than the $45 million in guaranteed money Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley got in 2018.
Jones spoke with Bull Market Fantasy about Elliott, who just happens to be Jim Cramer’s number one pick in the Bull Market Fantasy football league.
“I will tell Cramer that ‘you are every bit as smart as I thought you were’ because Zeke is the real deal. He’s not only a generational type player, he is also inspirational and inspires his teammates. You should see him run through the locker room before a game,” Jones said.
Fantasy owners can rest easy in terms of Zeke’s status for Sunday’s season opener against the New York Giants as Jones says that Zeke will be a “real plus for us” against the Giants and for the rest of the season.
