Math and Football: Match Made in Pigskin Heaven
For nearly 40 years, Jim Cramer has used fundamental and technical analysis when picking stocks. This is why he was thrilled to have NFL Network analyst Cynthia Frelund on Bull Market Fantasy's Super Bowl Special, as she takes a similar approach to analyzing NFL games and players.
Frelund is NFL Network's data scientist and has a Master's in predictive analytics. In other words, she's a math genius and uses her intelligence and skillset to create custom-made algorithms and simulations to help predict the winners and losers of football games.
During the interview, Frelund admitted to making 1 million simulations (think Madden game sims) on her custom made computer which she built herself- pretty damn impressive. She says it's kind of "nerdy" but we think it's just another great way to help us make money betting on football!
Those Chiefs and Buccaneers game simulations help her come to a data-driven conclusion on things like the final score, margin of victory, and even player performances. From a gambling standpoint, it helps sports bettors with their decisions on betting on the spread, the Over/Under, and Player Props.
Check out the attached interview for Frelund's predictions and see if you should take the Chiefs -3, bet on the Buccaneers on the Moneyline, take the over or under (56.5), or if Travis Kelce or Tyreek Hill will have more than 90 yards!
