Five Time MLB All Star Gives World Series Prediction
Adrian Gonzalez played in the MLB since 2004, was named to the All-Star game five times and was a four time Golden Glove winner. Gonzalez played for five teams during his MLB career, including the Padres and Dodgers. But when it comes to the battle in the 2019 American League Championship Series between the New York Yankees and Houston Astros, Gonzalez doesn't have a dog in the fight. Jim Cramer wanted Gonzalez's unbiased opinion on who would win the ALCS.
Gonzalez told Jim the Astros' pitching would help them defeat the Yankees. The Astros are currently leading the Yankees two games to one but are playing in New York for the next two games before returning back to Houston (if needed). Since the Nationals swept the Cardinals in the NLCS, they've been "sitting around" waiting to take on the winner of the ALCS. Will they be rusty by the time the World Series starts? Gonzalez says yes and that's why he is predicting the Astros will win the World Series for the second time in three seasons.
The MLB 1st baseman is also an avid fantasy football player and joined Bull Market Fantasy to discuss what it's like playing fantasy football with other major leaguers, his entrepreneurial ventures including a beer and apparel company, and his charity "The Adrian and Betsy Gonzalez Foundation." Gonzalez's charity is focused on "empowering underprivileged youth" throw athletics, education and health. You can make a donation to the foundation by visiting their webpage.
