Shiba Inu Metaverse Comes to South by Southwest
The annual South by Southwest (SXSW) festival has plenty of crypto, Web3, and AI events this year, but the arrival of the Shiba Inu Metaverse into the space injected some much-needed reminders that crypto is still rallying. On the streets of Austin, Shiba Inu acolytes were peddling opportunities to reimagine the metaverse through an array of experiences. Do you want to buy a home? Why not try it in the 2D metaverse first? Or open a business? Forget the punishing real estate of Austin, San Francisco or New York – you can now experiment with a zany business venture entirely in the Shiba Inu Metaverse.

“Users will be able to earn passive income, collect in-game resources, generate rewards, and even have their own space to build and manage their projects in SHIB: The Metaverse,” said Sherri Cuono, Metaverse Advisor to Shiba Token.
Earlier this month, Shiba Inu unveiled that it was launching the Ethereum Layer-2 network known as the Shibarium. Developers hope to jumpstart the network’s tokens through the launch.

In Austin, the Shiba Inu Metaverse is part of the SXSW XR Experience showcase. If attendees are looking for a respite from the cacophonous din of the festival, they can easily step into the WAGMI Temple, a Zen-like metaverse hub referring to the crypto anthem “We’re All Going to Make It.” It allows festival-goers to explore an endless number of strange experiences that are designed to be calming, if not tranquilizing. "Echoes whisper through the region, with a rich history and discovery of SHIB’s birth and its decentralized roots," the Shiba Inu ecosystem says.
