How Companies Are Handling COVID-19 Delta Variant

Home Depot (HD) announced on August 2 that customers and employees would be required to wear masks inside their stores.

Latest Company Policies:

  • Apple (AAPL) announced on July 28 that masks would be required at most stores for all customers.
  • McDonald's (MCD) announced on August 2 that customers and employees are required to wear masks in areas of high transmission.
  • Walmart (WMT) said on July 30 that it will begin requiring masks for store workers in high-risk counties in the U.S.

  • Target (TGT) said that it will require all store workers to wear masks in counties the CDC says are at "high risk of transmission."

  • Starbucks (SBUX) "strongly recommends" customers wear masks in stores, even if they are vaccinated.

The CDC issued a new recommendation on July 27 for face coverings in areas of the country where the COVID-19 virus is spreading the most.

Google (GOOGL) and Apple are among the businesses to postpone return-to-office dates for employees as COVID-19 cases spiked due to the highly contagious Delta variant.
