David Sterman has been a financial researcher for more than 25 years. In the 1990's he got his start at Smith Barney, where he eventually became a Senior Analyst focused on the banking sector. He was the Director of Research at Individual Investor magazine in the latter half of the 1990's, and in the subsequent decade, worked at a pair of Connecticut-based hedged funds and also served as the Director of Research at Jesup & Lamont Securities. From 2009 through 2014, he was the Chief Market Strategist for StreetAuthority LLC, and currently focuses on sector-based research.
