Thomas Stoner Jr.

Thomas Stoner, Jr. is Chief Executive of Entelligent, a new energy sector media and research company.He is a 30 year veteran of the energy services and power industry, having led two companies through venture funding to successful exits. He sold one to a publicly traded utility holding company and the second through a successful IPO on the London AIM Exchange. Mr. Stoner has raised more than $300 million in venture capital and public equity and invested proceeds into dozens of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. His projects have ranged from building ice-storage to shave peak energy demand to owning and operating large utility scale wind energy projects in northeast Brazil prior to the 2008 Recession. Mr. Stoner co-founded Project Butterfly, a collaborative initiative to map out a solution to climate change working with leading scientists and energy engineers on the Front Range of Colorado. He is the author of Small Change, Big Gains: Reflections of Energy Entrepreneur published in 2013. Mr. Stoner earned a Masters in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics and an undergraduate degree from Hampshire College.
