James Passeri has been with TheStreet since April 2015, as a reporter covering the economy and business news.

 

Before working at TheStreet, James was a reporter for Debtwire, where he wrote about the leveraged finance market in North America. Prior to Debtwire, James was an editor and reporter for Hersam Acorn Newspapers in Connecticut.

 

His work, largely pertaining to state financing and politics, was honored with a 2012 "Rookie of the Year" award from the New England Newspaper & Press Association.

 

James received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Fordham University and a Master's degree in business and economics reporting from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
