Dan Fitzpatrick

Dan Fitzpatrick is the publisher of The Stock Market Mentor, an advisory newsletter and educational forum dedicated to teaching effective risk management and trading methodologies to aspiring traders and investors. He is a former hedge fund manager and a member of the Market Technicians Association, and he now trades from his home in Orange County, Calif. Fitzpatrick holds no securities licenses, and does not give recommendations to buy or sell stocks.


Fitzpatrick graduated from the McGeorge School of Law. He was a fellow at Pacific Legal Foundation, a nonprofit public interest firm specializing in constitutional law, and he also practiced law in the private sector before pursuing trading as a full-time career.
