Jamie Hodge

Jamie Hodge, the Director of Education at Trade Ideas, has a tenure in the securities trading world dating back to 1992 as a graduate from Texas State with a bachelors in Finance and as a retail broker. He has worked with several retail firms including Memphis based Morgan Keegan, eventually leaving to form his own broker/dealer in Austin, TX, The Avantus Group.

In 1996, Jamie followed the siren song of trading, caught the tail end of the "SOES Bandit" era and has survived the market calamities and bubbles since. Jamie not only reports on market activity but also uses Trade Ideas technology for his own daily trading. Jamie continues to trade and help develop features within Trade Ideas and became the Director of Trader Education at Trade Ideas in 2007.
