The Bartmann Ethical Debt Collection Practices Act (SB 1430) is currently under review in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. The legislation has already passed the Oklahoma Senate and it comes following a wave of scandals that illustrate the need for reform in the debt collection and debt buyer industries.
