Salesforce Earnings: 3 Things to Watch

Salesforce (CRM - Get Report) shares have slumped in the past few weeks, and investors are looking for signs that its growth trajectory will continue. 

The CRM giant's $15.7 billion acquisition of Tableau (DATA) closed in early August, and just days later, it bought up ClickSoftware for $1.3 billion. Investors will likely 

International growth is a key area of focus for Salesforce, with a vertical sales strategy that some analysts expect will bear fruit in the coming quarters. 

Macroeconomic concerns are also on the table, with some signals that enterprises may be looking to spend more cautiously amid worries about a global slowdown. 

Based on FactSet estimates, analysts are expecting earnings of 47 cents per share on $3.95 billion in revenue for the quarter when Salesforce posts its latest earnings on Thursday, Aug. 22 after the bell.
