Stocks popped Wednesday after the Fed dropped the word 'patient' from its statement. The Dow Jones Industrial closed 227 points higher. U.S. treasuries plunged after the Fed announcement. The benchmark 10-year dipped below 2%. Crude oil gained better than $1 to settle at $43.46 a barrel. Oil companies like Transocean (RIG) and Denbury Resources (DNR) soared in the session. Starbucks (SBUX) said its shareholders will get one additional share for each they own. It's the company's first stock split in more than 9 years. Tesla (TSLA) can now be sold directly in New Jersey. The new law comes nearly a year after the state issued regulations requiring cars to only be sold through franchises.
