Stocks gave back all gains in the final minutes of Monday's session, resistant to move higher even as a dive in the U.S. dollar corralled crude oil prices higher. The Dow Jones Industrial fell 11 points, while the S&P 500 slid 0.17%. The Nasdaq closed down 0.3%. The dollar continued its slide, falling further from 12-year highs against a number of other currencies. That helped boost crude oil with West Texas Intermediate recapturing a level above $47 a barrel. Gains in Pfizer and McDonald's shares helped to limit losses on the Dow. Both blue-chips gained more than 1% each over Monday's session.
