How Little Cash Flow Does Rolling Stone Have?

It's a dark time for media.
By Sarah Solomon ,

Last week, Rolling Stone went up for sale - a sad testament to the state of media as we know it and the pivot to video as editorial is slashed across the board.

Rolling Stone reaches more than 60 million people per month, the company said. However, Vanity Fair got a hold of a Wenner Media financial document for the magazine, and the numbers are pretty grim.

In 2017, Rolling Stone is projected to generate $46.3 million. Of that, their video revenue is $100,000.

Rolling Stone's print advertising revenue is projected to be $10.9 million in 2020.

It was $28.6 million in 2015.

They plan on cutting the editorial budget from a high of $8.1 million in 2015 to $4.2 million in 2020.
