Housing's spring selling-season is shaping up nicely as potential home-buyers are enjoying low rates and rising wages, said Anthony Hsieh, CEO of loanDepot. Hsieh added that the improving economy has also caused many borrowers to take cash-out refinancings. He said loanDepot's business is expanding into the growing peer-to-peer lending business by offering loans of up to $35K without collateral. Finally, Hsieh said homebuyers have learned the lessons of the housing bust and are generally putting at least 20% down on their homes, especially now that lending standards have tightened.
