Continental Resources has the financial resources and expertise to expand while its competitors retreat due to falling energy prices, said Kyle Brownlee, CEO of Wymer Brownlee. Brownlee added that Continental is acquiring land at bargain prices while simultaneously driving down operating costs. He is also bullish on Spectra Energy, saying the mid-stream pipeline player pays an attractive 4.1% yield with strong dividend coverage. Finally, Brownlee is positive on shares of General Electric despite the stock's poor recent performance, saying the household name has more upside potential than downside risk, especially because of its healthy 3.6% dividend yield.
