President Donald Trump ordered an updated travel ban on Sunday, slapping new restrictions on citizens from North Korea, Venezuela and Chad.

Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen and Somalia were left on the list of countries affected, while restrictions on citizens from Sudan were lifted. Iraqi citizens will not be subjected to specific travel restrictions but they will face enhanced vetting. This takes the total number of countries covered by the ban to 8.

The original travel ban was set to expire on September 24th and the new restrictions will come into effect on October 18th.
