The annual SXSW Interactive technology festival has become a breeding ground for promising startups destined to soar. 'Over seven years, companies have secured $1.78 billion in funding, while 50% have received funding,' said Chris Valentine, event producer at SXSW Accelerator & Startup Village. 'Some of the companies we had last year, we knew that in 2-3 would be doing something really interesting.'
