On Thursday, March 19th Apple (AAPL) joins the Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI), replacing AT&T (T). The change will be effective at the start of trading at 9:30 a.m. eastern in New York. On the earnings front, we keep our eyes on three notable companies. They include real estate company Lennar Corp (LEN), arts and crafts retailer Michaels Companies (MIK), and athletic shoe maker Nike (NKE). Wall Street has high hopes for Nike's third quarter earnings results due to the company's dominant market share. On the economic calendar, we note weekly jobless claims, the Philadelphia Fed business outlook survey, leading indicators, and the Energy Information Administration's weekly natural gas storage report. TheStreet's Kurumi Fukushima reports in New York.
